Thank you for visiting our website. We hope the information available here will be useful to existing families, and to those who are looking to bring their children to Barnby & North Cove Primary School and Nursery.

Thank you to our parents/carers who completed the Autumn Term questionnaire and we would encourage you to complete this Spring questionnaire which will help us to track the parent view across all our settings. If you haven't got involved yet or are a new parent within the Trust then please also complete the survey. The results of the survey have been, and will continue to be, shared with Academy Heads and the Trust Board on a school by school basis and in time the cycle of surveys will provide us with a snap shot of where parents are and allow us to develop plans to respond to any emerging issues. We would very much like to encourage you to complete the Spring Term survey by clicking on the following link: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=FfCPk_-4V0G5AXwg-Atdjgh3Xqz1vQBDvMbVmAgLeQpUMlA1UlozMEhWUjBGM0pMVlRGN1Y2NlZOQi4u&route=shorturl Please complete the survey by Monday 2nd February 2026

Computing Fun certainly is fun! The children have explored a range of games which are made on the programme Scratch. We have now began coding our own versions of the games. It has been great to see such resilience and team work in the club. It is such a lovely way to spend a Monday evening!

Our DT and Science topics have combined this have term and Miss Knight has been working with the children to explore the forces of push and pull. The children have designed their own vehicles and recreated them out of junk modelling. The whole design process has been brilliant and the likeness of their finished projects to their designs is brilliant!

This week we programmed bee bots to move in different directions. We learnt how to make them move forwards and backwards, as well as turn left or right. We had to send them to find a dinosaur.

Would you like to be part of our Locality Committee? Please contact the school office or Mr Lea for further information!

Every day at school counts. The evidence is clear - even a few days of missed school can have a significant impact on a child's education and future prospects. We are always striving to improve attendance at Barnby & North Cove Primary School!
