Growing Successful Futures
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope the information available here will be useful to existing families, and to those who are looking to bring their children to Barnby & North Cove Primary School and Nursery.

For the next fortnight we are focusing on the Learning Characteristic of Participation. We are encouraging all of our pupils to give maximum effort in all of their lessons and fully engage with all activities. This will be really important as we re-introduce competitive sport back to Barnby and North Cove.

At the end of the Autumn term we hosted our very first Violin Concert for our Key Stage 2 pupils at the end of term - IT WAS SIMPLY AMAZING! Another packed audience were witness to a fantastic performance from our pupils. We are all very proud of them!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas filled with family, friends, love and laughter. From all the staff at Barnby & North Cove Primary School.

We hosted our Christmas Dinner on Wednesday 17th December. Pupils were served by teachers and enjoyed a festive feast!

With just 48 hours until the grand draw for this festive-filled hamper of goodies - all donated by our wonderful staff. Please see Mr Lea or come into the school office for tickets!

Our Key Stage 2 children performed their alternative 12 Days of Christmas at our Winter Warmer event last week - these are the lyrics for their song!

This week in Chestnut Class we have been busy preparing for our Winter Warmer performance which we shared with you on Tuesday. The children worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, practise the songs and perform with confidence, and we are all very proud of their wonderful achievement. In RE we have been exploring what it means to be a bystander versus an upstander and how to be respectful active citizens. We also discussed the big question "Should we all be equal?" and carried out lots of research into different religious leaders and what inspires their beliefs. The children have shown great curiosity and thoughtful reflection throughout these lessons.

We hope you can join us as we come together as a whole school to celebrate Christmas!
