This week the pupils have been focused on being 'Respectful, Active Citizens' one of our key learning characteristics. As part of this we created a Birthday card for a very special man, Mr Dougie Shelley from Essex. Mr Shelley is turning 100 on September 23rd and he is one of the last World War 2 veterans of the Arctic Convoy. He has no known surviving family members - so we wanted him to have a special 100th Birthday!

Hazel Class have had an excellent first week being risk takers exploring their new surroundings and building relationships with peers and adults. We have been working collaboratively to investigate new ideas and develop exciting projects together.

Juniper have had an out of this world start to the year and have jumped head first into our topic about Earth and Space. This week, they have created models to demonstrate the movement of the Earth around the sun and the moon's orbit around the Earth.

We are really looking forward to Friday 26th September as we will be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning - we hope you can join us! If you would like to donate any refreshments that would be great!
